Glass Architects of Santa Rosa, California, designed the new Empire College to stand out at night. With the help of two of the divisions of The Vistawall Group, general contractor Rudolph and Sletton of Sacramento, California, worked with the glazing contractors at Horizon Glass, of West Sacramento to create the desired look. The most unique aspect of the building is the large sky-light that sets atop the entrance.

The ATS TM skylight system provided by Skywall Translucent Systems, creates a glowing pyramid that is highly visible from Route 101. The ATS system is a self-supported 24’ x 24’ guttered, dry-glazed, thermally broken and drainable system.

Vistawall provided the CW 250 curtain wall system, which created a bold face-cap look. The other products provided by Vistawall were the EZ-Set TM 2"x6" strip windows, with the glass set to the front. The result of the design by Glass Architects and architectural products by The Vistawall Group is a highly attractive building, which garnered a lot of publicity for the architects and the city of Santa Rosa.
