Unique Windows has invested almost £1m in a full suite of Emmegi machinery for its new 43,000 sq ft factory.

The investment includes a brand new Quadra L2 sawing and machining centre with additional saw blade and end milling capability, a Satellite XT 5 axis CNC machining centre, two Classic Star electronic computerised saws and a range of Itaca Solution NC controlled crimpers, automatic bead saws and handling equipment.

It is a real statement of intent from the Leicester based company as it aims to establish itself as one of the leading aluminium fabricators in the industry.

Joint Managing Director Sunil Patel said: “We have chosen machinery which we believe is the most durable and robust on the market and which will enable us to offer the levels of precision, accuracy and efficiency we need to stand out from the competition.

“Emmegi advised us on the ideal package for the range of aluminium systems and products we are fabricating, completed all the installation and commissioning and provided training for our team.”

Unique Windows had outgrown its existing 45,000 sq ft factory in Leicester so purchased a new building alongside, splitting its production so that its original premises is now devoted exclusively to PVC-U and its new factory exclusively to aluminium.

In the new factory, Unique is fabricating a complete range of aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling products in all of the leading systems including AluK, Schüco, Seniors, Kawneer and Technal for both trade and commercial customers.

Sunil added: “Alongside the machinery, we’re investing in the supporting technology we need to be able to offer same day quotations, a fast turnaround on orders and a competitive pricing structure.

“We have big plans for this new factory and we believe Emmegi are the ideal machinery partners to help us deliver on those plans.”
