Since many years already futronic focuses on the Asian glass market. Trade fairs like China Glass, which took place in Beijing again this year, are must-attend events for futronic and so managing director Michael Preuß set out again for China in May this year, to represent futronic in the Chinese capital.  A good opportunity to get in touch with customers and business partners, to discuss current projects and to initialize new ones.

More than 23000 visitors came to Asian's biggest glass fair to the New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC), a get together of the glass industry. „We had interesting meetings and discussions, have established many new contacts and could deepen existing ones. The China Glass offers an ideal platform for maintaining contacts and making new ones", Preuß comments.

However, there is a serious problem for some glass factories, Preuß says. Climate protection is standing more and more in the focus of the fair and obviously Chinese glass factories must comply to new binding environmental standards to reduce air pollution to a high degree. Factories who cannot comply with these standards are facing closure now, they say. „Of course, we greatly welcome the measurements for environmental protection", Preuß says. However, this also means that the customers have no money to invest for other sectors, like for example the control technology. „This is concerning us as well, we already had realized that", the head of futronic summarizes. Anyway Preuß is satisfied, as especially many representatives from other countries came to the futronic stand at the fair.

After the fair the visit of a customer in Taiwan was on the agenda, were the details of a new project were discussed, which made the successful completion of the Asian trip of the futronic managing director.
