Talks are to take place over the future of Selkirk Glass after its parent and sister firms went into administration. Local Lib Dem MSP Jeremy Purvis is to meet with administrators Deloitte to discuss the situation, which affects about 20 staff in the Scottish Borders.

First reports said Caithness Glass and Selkirk Glass would be unaffected by cuts at parent firm Edinburgh Crystal.

So far 270 members of staff at Edinburgh Crystal have lost their jobs which included 70 at its Penicuik head office.
