As from September, Pilkington Activ self-cleaning glass will be available to British homeowners.A wide ranging advertising campaign will be supplemented by a public relations initiative targeting homeowners through television, radio, newspapers and magazines.
The message is that Pilkington Activ can help bring an end to one of Britain's most loathed chores - window cleaning.
Pilkington Activ became widely known in the UK early last year following its test launch in Ireland, but the Group delayed it availablity in the home market to give the glass industry time to cope with increased demand for low E glass, spurred by the revised UK Building Regulations Part L.
