TUROMAS will be present at the new edition of Vitrum. The industry is approaching a new era with the Fourth Revolution and the Spanish company is channeling efforts in the research, design and development of new machines, software and solutions 4.0.

TUROMAS will be present at the new edition of Vitrum, the international fair specialising in machinery, equipment and systems for flat and hollow glass which will be held from 1st to 4th October in Milan.

The spanish brand will make the most of this opportunity to present its complete range of machinery standardised for monolithic glass, laminated glass or smart storage to visitors who come over to stand L13 in hall 7, as well as offer them personalised solutions.

Since its beginnings in 1985, TUROMAS has in mind that it is not only about selling a machine to load, cut or store glass, it is about accompanying the user throughout the whole process until they find the comprehensive solution that they truly need.

100% of the design, manufacturing, programming and assembly of the machines is done in the facilities in Rubielos de Mora (Teruel, Spain) using only high-quality European components to ensure reliability, security, performance and precision which is expected from a leading brand.

Expansion Project

TUROMAS has become a global benchmark in smart machinery for storage, loading and cutting glass in very demanding markets such as the automotive industry, architecture or decoration.

Apart from its headquarters in Spain, it has offices in Santiago, Chile and another in Sao Paulo. The Latin American market is one of the most strategic in the face of the expansion, which is why from November 2019 we will have a third branch in Bogotá.

In July 2019, the Centre of Innovation and Special Developments (CIDET) was unveiled, the cornerstone of the Group’s expansion project. The Centre channels efforts in the research, design and development of new machines, software and solutions 4.0.

This expansion project will increase the production capacity with the construction of five 2,000 square metre warehouses, in Rubielos de Mora. In addition to more effective spatial distribution with new connections that shorten distances, investment in machinery and advanced equipment and the creation of interactive spaces for employees, an energy savings and efficiency and environmental sustainability plan will be implemented.

Industry 4.0

The industry is approaching a new era with the Fourth Revolution. The large corporations are driving and strengthening digital transformation processes. The digital infrastructures, interconnections and automatic production systems, motors for competitiveness, will also have special emphasis at Vitrum 2019.

Currently, the R+D department at TUROMAS is working on refining a new software solution which is perfectly integrated with its storage system and cutting process.

The apps are developed with web technology and provide information about the production process in real time. Simplification, speed and effectiveness, among other advantages, are the results of this research.

2020 will be the year of the official launch of this solution, as well as other developments that industry 4.0 requires.

See you in Vitrum 2019.
