The client wanted the illusion of invisible treads. Working on a tight schedule, Trex Commercial Products achieved the client’s vision with its Point Series railing system and glass treads, for a seamless, nearly invisible look.
Glass treads and risers, combined with the Trex Commercial Products’ Point Series railing system, give this staircase a seamless, barely there appearance.
The overlook glass was attached with a through bolt on the lower nodes and an epoxy anchor for the top.
Glass treads and risers were attached using three-inch-wide, clear VHB tape, adding to the illusion of invisibility.
A combined 186 linear feet of Trex Commercial Products’ Point Series, glass treads and risers were used to create a clean, minimalist look for the building lobby
