Tortorici named to head Atofina's technical polymers in North America

Atofina Chemicals, Inc. has announced the promotion of Frank Tortorici to the position of regional group president, North America, technical polymers, replacing Rich Rowe who has also been promoted.

In his new role, Tortorici will continue to manage Atofina's worldwide Kynar(R) organization, but will now assume responsibility for all Atofina's technical polymers in North America, including Rilsan(R) polyamide resin, Pebax(R) and Platamid(R) copolymer resins, and a group of functional polyolefins.Prior to his responsibilities as a general manager, Tortorici held positions as a business manager, first with Metablens(R) plastic additives, then with industrial polymers.He started with Atofina Chemicals in 1985 in Mobile as an engineering manager and later became plant manager at that site. Tortorici currently serves as treasurer on the board of the Society of Plastics Industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston and is a Licensed Professional Engineer, state of Alabama.
