Energy efficiency, elegance and natural lighting are the key words behind the new sustainable headquarters of Uría Menéndez Abogados in the center of Madrid (Spain).

With 10-meter sheets of laminated, tempered and printed glass, Tvitec – the Spanish company specialized in the production of architectural glass – supplied 2,000 m2 of high-quality architectural glass for the building envelope that puts an iconic new facade on the home of the prestigious European law firm.

The 6 extra-large-sized (10 x 3 m) tempered and heat soak tested panels that form the entire main facade, add considerably to the acoustic insulation of the building, as well as creating a unique, digitally-printed white design using the Vitro Jet F Type by Tecglass.

Tecglass print technology for glass panels is unique in the market. The innovative Side Kinetix option on the F Type model used by Tvitec makes it possible to print graphic patterns or photographic images along the long edge of the glass. With oversized panels, like those used in the most prestigious modern architectural projects, the production benefit is clear: by printing longitudinally along the print surface of the glass, production times are cut in half.

The architectural decorations and print patterns produced by Tvitec also rely on a highly-durable range of inks custom-developed by Tecglass for the exterior envelope of buildings, engineered to create the perfect combination of chemical resistance, high durability and unique chromatic effects.
