FEM for the design of sealed glazing units and new windows with automated, quiet drives: technical innovations are the focus of this year’s “Taste of windays” event series, a specialist presentation that will take place in the context of FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2020 on 19 and 20 March. This is the fifth year that Bern University of Applied Sciences is organising the event.

Fensterbau Frontale

Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH will be represented at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE in Nuremberg from 18–21 March 2020 (Stand 104, Hall 5). The stand will feature information on the latest research projects and the range of services that BFH provides. For the fifth time, BFH is holding two specialist seminars on the subject of “Smart windows – smart design” in the context of the “Taste of windays” event series.

What stresses are the edge seals of windows with bonded heavy insulating glass subjected to during use or under wind load? Marcus Schiere and other experts from Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH will give insights into the latest research findings from the project.

At FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2018, BFH presented an automated, low-noise window as the result of the “Autowindow” project. Peter Schober (Holzforschung Austria) and Urs Uehlinger (Bern University of Applied Sciences) will talk about the latest results from their ongoing research projects.
