Strong Growth Projected for the U.S. Architectural Door Market into 2015

WDMA Market Study Reports on Key Industry Trends - Today the Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) released its Architectural Door 2014 U.S.

Market Study, which shows continued growth for the architectural door market through 2015.  The study, prepared, researched and analyzed by Metrostudy and the Virginia Center for Housing Research at Virginia Tech, forecasts strong market growth in the wood flush door market of nearly 24% for 2014 and 22% for 2015. This follows market growth of 17% in 2013.

Wood stile and rail doors are also forecasted to have strong market growth of 33% in 2014 and 25% for 2015, coming on the heels of flat growth in 2013.  

From a market segment standpoint, in 2013 commercial construction made up 66% of the flush door market, followed by institutional construction at 31%. Similarly, commercial construction constituted 80% of the stile and rail market, followed by institutional construction at 19%.
