Is there an easy way of creating Energy Labels for products? This is the question lots of manufacturers of construction elements are currently trying to answer because one thing is clear: Same as for fridges, the energetic value of windows and doors has to be stated on a standard-design label in future in all EU countries.

At Bau 2013 in Munich, A+W will introduce a simple, user-friendly solution for the integrated creation and management of this label which has been worked out together with ift Rosenheim.

At order entry, the CANTOR software system determines the relevant indices required for creating the label such as the GU and GF value. These processes are run in the background without influencing or impeding the order entry process.

The values are transferred online to ift where the energy label for the corresponding window is directly created. Without interrupting the operator’s work, ift returns the label – practically real-time - to the A+W system where it is archived and can be printed any time, or added to the window or the quotation/order at the flick of a switch.

René Befort, CANTOR Product Manager at A+W: „A practical solution for creating the label must be integrated in order processing so as to avoid redundant work. With their enormous know-how and excellent online services, ift Rosenheim are the ideal partner for us.“

More and more quality-conscious window manufacturers put their faith in CANTOR when it comes to controlling their processes. New, highly flexible automation processes, developed together with CANTOR customers and leading machinery manufacturers, open up previously unknown potential for production control and render the processes on the shop floor even more efficient.

The CANTOR team is most enthusiastic about the practicality of their solutions. CANTOR Software for the window industry offers software and concepts for companies of any size – no matter whether the user produces 50, 100, or 500 windows a day and whether these are made of wood, aluminium, or PVC.

By the way: According to ALBAT+WIRSAM, every third window in Germany has been produced again with the help of CANTOR Software made by A+W – and counting!
