Sphinx Float Glass, the new float line built recently in Egypt, is participating as a Golden Sponsor in Glass World Exhibition, the region's largest trade exhibition for glass products & glass technology which takes place 05 - 07 May, 2010 at Cairo International Convention Centre (CICC) in Egypt.

Sphinx Glass (SG) is a float glass manufacturer established in 2008 by Citadel Capital to pursuit of producing of high quality float glass. Sphinx Glass' plant is located in Sadat City, some 70 kilometers north of Cairo, and has licensed world-class production technologies from PPG Industries Inc., a global market leader in high-quality float glass technology. The 220,000 square-meter factory will have a production capacity of 600 tons of glass per day and will sell to both the local and export markets, splitting its initial production evenly between the two. The plant will produce glass confirming with global standards from 2 mm up to 19 mm in clear, tinted and coated. The products will be available in varied sheet sizes meeting the regional market requirements, also offering jumbo size glass panes as large as of 6000mm x 3680mm. The integrated technology and design provides flexibility and capability to the changing needs of the glass industry. The opening of the plant will be on April 2010.
