The Whitesales HeatReflect glazing option reduces solar overheating, stopping the volume of heat rays that pass through the glazing.

Although the great British weather can often feel as though we see more rain and grey clouds than we do bright summer sunshine and warm heat rays, warm temperatures are there - particularly in the heat of midday.

During daylight hours the inside of a building heats up due to the sun – known as solar heat gain. To counter this effect, solar control glass can be installed to reflect heat and reduce glare from the sun’s rays.

Not only is this a practical functionality, it’s also a requirement under Approved Documents L1A and L2S, requiring the limit of solar gains through the summer period.

The Whitesales HeatReflect glazing option reduces solar overheating, stopping the volume of heat rays that pass through the glazing, whilst allowing sunshine to pour into the space, lighting the room below.

HeatReflect technology is available across a range of Whitesales products, including our Em-Dome modular rooflights, which reflects up to 81% of the heat radiation.

This product is also available in a clear, open diffused and bronze finish. Not only does HeatReflect technology reduce solar overheating, it also lessens the burden on air-conditioning systems, reducing CO2 emissions.
