As one of the green energy technologies featuring cleanness, efficiency and inexhaustibility in the future, solar energy has been widely used in recent years, leading to the fastest expansion of solar energy business in energy sector. Photovoltaic (PV) industry is a key part in utilization of solar energy. Ever since 1980s, PV industry has become one of the fastest growing high-tech industries in the world.

Glass facade, which represents the integration of photo-electricity and architecture, has marked a general trend in the combination of solar energy and buildings. The birth of photovoltaic glass façade shows an increasing value and attraction for investment, and also brings new business opportunities to solar glass for its development, application and marketing. Global demand for solar cell will grow at a rate of 30% and keep such growth rate at least till 2010. As a designated glass for solar cells, super-white empaistic glass will accordingly witness a rapid growth in consumption. The first large-scale production line of solar super-white glass in China has been installed and put into operation in Dongguan Nanbo Green Energy Industrial Park.

In an active response to the market demand, All in Glass 2007 has specially launched a specialized zone for high-tech glass technologies, for showcasing high technologies and products in the glass industry in a concentrative manner, including solar glass façade, solar glass roof, energy-saving glass (Low-E filmed glass), etc., bringing new surprises to the glass industry in China, which will surely attract wide attention by the glass and related industries.

Shenzhen Solar Energy Society, as one of the major supporters of the event, will render its full support for the specialized zone for high-tech glass technologies, striving to highlight the special features and style of the zone to lead the industrial developments.
