The Trust, which serves a population of 170,000 across Carmarthenshire and in neighbouring counties, provides acute and emergency hospital services through two main hospitals – West Wales General Hospital, Glangwili, Carmarthen and Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli.

Through continued studies it has been proven that sheer, easily cleaned surfaces are essential in hospitals and particularly in ICU’s in order to reduce the risks associated with the spread of super bugs such as Clostridium difficile (CDIFF), Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) and Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus (VRE).
