The cups are available for cup sizes 30, 40, 50, 75 and 110.
Therban is a new mark-free material for low or high temperature applications where silicon can not be used.
The operating temperature ranges between -30°C (-22°F) and 140°C (284°F), or for a short period of time up to 160°C (320°F), even when in contact with oily and greasy surfaces.
Therban also shows good mechanical properties and low swelling in oil. Good mechanical properties guarantee non-marking suction cups. Due to Therbans high temperature resistance it is also good in applications with hot water or steam.
Therban bellow cups can handle objects with height differences and varying shapes which makes them suitable for applications when level adjustment is required, for example, embossed or corrugated plates.
The material is suitable for suction cups employed by flat-glass manufacturers, suppliers of flat-glass machinery, injection moulding companies, thermoforming companies, the furniture industry, as no marks are left before the varnish or paint is applied, and tile and marble manufacturers.
Therban cups can be used for handling warm/hot flat glass, like window shields for cars or warm/hot transparent plastic parts, like lenses for cars.
Therban is also useful for removing warm/hot plastic parts from the cavities of injection mould machines, handling warm/hot metal or plastic sheets, handling sheets with aggressive oils or greases and handling parts before painting, as it is silicon-free.
Using suction cups made from Therban can increase productivity compared with suction cups made with other products as the material can be handled sooner, before it has cooled down.
Therban cups suffer less downtime because it offers better mechanical properties than other high- temperature rubber materials like silicon or FKM (Viton), ensures a longer life.
Higher quality of the handled products and less after-treatment using Therban instead of other products, as Therban leaves no marks that have to be removed. Therban is also free from Paint-Wetting Impairment Substances (PWIS).
Therban is a high-performance material. Alternative cup solutions are expensive and have a shorter life and lower lifting capacity than Therban.
