SGG COOL-LITE ST: New development for Coatings that Can Be Toughened

SGG COOL-LITE ST has had a great deal of success on the solar control market. Our sales of COOL-LITE that can be toughened already represent 22% of all SGG COOL-LITE sold.

The ST coatings represent almost as many sales as the K and Classic coatings combined. And that is only 2 years after these products were launched. It is now clear that ST type coatings that can be toughened, together with the SK range, represent the future for our SGG COOL-LITE range.

SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS is therefore extending this range by launching a new coating that can be toughened: SGG COOL-LITE STB 120. B, for blue. This glass has a bluish reflected appearance. This coating is applied on clear glass, which therefore has a neutral transmitted appearance, and has performance levels that are fairly similar to SGG COOL-LITE PB 120,which it is shortly to replace.

Produced in Spain on the Saint-Gobain Glass SolarControl coater at La Almunia, SGG COOL-LITE STB 120 will be officially launched at the beginning of May 2005. This product, whose light transmittance is around 20%, is essentially intended for the Southern European countries and for export (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece). But SGG COOL-LITE STB 120, produced in jumbo sizes, will of course also be available for other countries if there is a requirement or if it is stipulated in site specifications.
