Three days of exhibits, educational seminars and demonstrations, and sunny weather welcomed nearly 5,600 industry professionals to the second annual GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo in San Diego, March 10-12.

The annual event featured 402 exhibiting companies, occupying more than 1,400 booths, who greeted attendees from across the Americas and abroad. The number of exhibiting companies represents a 4% increase over the inaugural GlassBuild America held last year in Atlanta. Organizers also note that international attendance saw a 2% increase over last year's event, as the west coast location drew a high number of visitors from Asia and Mexico.

In addition to educational demonstrations organized by co-sponsors NGA, GANA, AAMA and IGMA, sessions were held by the Window & Door Manufacturers Association and the Flat Glass Logistics Council, expanding the umbrella of trade organizations representing the commercial and residential glass, window and door industries at this year's GlassBuild America.

The first day's events concluded with the Opening Cocktail Reception sponsored by Edgetech I.G., Inc. Other industry sponsors for this year's GlassBuild America were Bottero, Deceuninck North America, glasstec 2004 and Dow Corning Corp.

Co-sponsored by the National Glass Association, the Glass Association of North America, the American Architectural Manufacturers Association, the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance and the Bath Enclosure Manufacturers Association, next year's GlassBuild America will be held in Atlanta in March 2005
