The e-drive system has been designed for Schüco’s Royal S door and window ranges and since all the drive components are integrated within the leaf itself, units do not have to be equipped with an external handle.The resulting sleek, streamlined look is expected to prove popular with architects designing interiors with a contemporary, minimalist feel.
Despite being extremely quiet in use, the Schüco e-drive motor is powerful enough to open and close sliding leaves measuring 3000 mm x 3000 mm and weighing up to 250 kg. Importantly, the system also incorporates intelligent safety software that obviates the possibility of injury to people or objects when the e-drive is in operation.
The e-drive may be locally controlled by means of an operating panel in the leaf or by buttons located elsewhere in the room. Alternatively, it can be controlled centrally through integration with a whole building management system: the system can also be set to accommodate a range of ‘comfort functions’ such as night ventilation.
