Sälzer GmbH has a good reputation in the construction industry and has been specialising in high-security products for buildings for around 40 years.
Now owned by the third generation, Sälzer develops and produces windows, doors and façades that protect against break-ins, bullets, explosions, fire and smoke. Schüco sees the stake in Sälzer GmbH as an opportunity to significantly expand its business activities in the field of high security.
Alongside Schüco International KG, Elke Sälzer and Walther Sälzer will be responsible as shareholders for expanding the business. Walther Sälzer will continue in the position of Managing Director and Elke Sälzer as authorised signatory in the position of Head of Technology.
The business plan for the next few years will be dedicated to the expansion of capacity in Marburg and international sales activities. The aim is to acquire new projects through Schüco sales.

Products for every protection need
Sälzer GmbH, with its good reputation in the construction industry, brings considerable competence and development expertise in the field of high security for buildings. Determined by various threat scenarios, the company offers individual products in different resistance classes.
Multifunctionality is increasingly in demand here. One example of such multiple security in a tested product is the Series S4 steel security door, which was recently awarded the German Design Award 2018.
The door provides protection against break-ins (to class RC6), bullets (to bullet-resistance class FB7-NS), explosions (to EXR5, GSA2), fire (to EI 90 | BS 476, 120 minutes) and smoke (S200) all at the same time. This door and all other Sälzer products will be incorporated in future in Schüco consultation and sales activities.
