Saint Gobain introduces Sun Ban reflective glass in AP

In keeping with its commitment to introduce state-of-the-art glass products, the Paris-based Multinational Saint-Gobain announced introduction of a rage of solar control reflective glass products.

Realising that India, like other tropical countries, needed glass products to keep solar heat out from buildings, the Sun Ban range of glasses have been brought in.By enabling residences, offices and commercial areas to keep the heat out, not only was comfort inside enhanced but heat gain was considerable reduced. 'This directly translates to reduced airconditioning loads and lower electricity bills', the company's national sales manager R Subramaniam said.

He reporters here the company, which had already launched products in Kerala, planned to aggressively enter other South Indian and national markets before the onset of summer.

'Sun Ban range also provides buildings enhanced aesthetics, superior durability of the coating and greater privacy for people.' He envisaged that at least 15 to 20 per cent of the Rs 1700 crore glass market was likely to upgrade into Solar Control Reflective Glass products.
