The selection is based on four criteria: the success rate of patent applications, the international scope of the patent portfolio, the influence of the patent in terms of the number of citations in the professional literature and the number of patents. The Group was singled out along with four major industrial companies and three research organizations in France, which places France in the third place among the most innovative countries, behind the US and Japan.
