Rowland runs the North American coatings business, which makes products for the architectural, industrial, paper, textile, nonwovens and leather markets.
Rowland reviewed Rohm and Haas's broad technology position in the $18 billion U.S. paint and coatings market. She discussed industry drivers and how Rohm and Haas is leveraging them into profitable growth for the Coatings business. Rohm and Haas provides customers with products and technology which enables them to produce the highest quality paints and coatings. This business also helps influence downstream buying decisions via the Paint Quality Institute.
Rowland discussed Rohm and Haas's participation in other markets as well, including traffic paint, insulation, paper and roofing, and gave examples of recent product successes. In closing Rowland noted "we are focused on our customers and the marketplace, which allows us to continue to leverage our vast knowledge of how paint works into new technology developments which meet our customers needs."
