Cardinal Glass will construct a 200,000-square-foot facility in the Crestwood Industrial Park, located in a designated Keystone Opportunity Zone. The company will manufacture quality residential custom tempered glass and sealed insulating glass units.
Members of the Governor's Action Team (GAT), economic-development professionals who report directly to Governor Edward G. Rendell and Secretary Yablonsky, worked with Cardinal Glass on its expansion project. DCED offered the company a $2.95 million financial package that includes: a $2 million Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) loan; $500,000 through the Machinery and Equipment Loan Fund (MELF); a $225,000 Opportunity Grant; and $225,000 in Job Training Assistance. The company is also eligible to apply for a loan through the Citizens Job Bank program.

Since its founding, it has led the industry in the development of durable insulating glass edge seal systems and the introduction of thermal performance improvements for residential glass. Cardinal has grown to more than 4,000 employees located at 22 manufacturing locations and two Research and Development centers.
Rendell Administration Announces Cardinal Glass Industries to Create 150 Manufacturing Jobs in Luzerne County

Rendell, Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Secretary Dennis Yablonsky today announced that Cardinal Glass Industries will create at least 150 jobs over three years with the establishment of a glass fabricating facility in Mountaintop.
