Reichhold names general counsel

Reichhold named Dan Uyesato as General Counsel effective immediately.Uyesato has served as the assistant general counsel for the last 12 years at Reichhold concentrating on management of environmental, health and safety litigation, toxic tort litigation and product liability litigation.

He also provided counsel and representation on environmental, health and safety issues, real estate matters, negotiation of contracts, and insurance coverage issues.

In his new role, Uyesato will report to Mitzi Van Leeuwen, senior vice president of corporate services. He will have accountability for all of Reichhold's legal activities on a global basis. "I am thrilled to have Dan and the legal department join our corporate services team. With the addition of the legal group, corporate services can offer an enhanced breadth of services to support our businesses in achieving their results," said Van Leeuwen.

Prior to joining Reichhold in 1990, Uyesato spent over 11 years with the General Electric Company in a variety of legal roles. His most recent position with GE was as Counsel-Environmental Protection in GE's Corporate Environmental Programs organization.

Uyesato has a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.A. with Honors and Distinction from the University of Kansas where he was elected to the honor society Phi Beta Kappa. Uyesato is located in Reichhold's corporate headquarters in RTP, N.C., USA.
