Prism Solar Technologies and PPG Industries have partnered on a project to test the performance of different types of glass in both standard and holographic photovoltaic (PV) modules at various incident and direct angles.

The test will compare PPG's Solarphire® AR high-transmissive glass to patterned glass to determine the increase in energy yield.

"It will be very interesting to see the additional boost in performance that results from coupling holograms with PPG's anti-reflective glass product" says Prism Solar CTO Glenn Rosenberg. “Prism Solar is particularly interested in this project because Prism’s holographic modules are designed to accept high levels of incident light, resulting in 25% more kWh per peak watt on average” said Glenn Rosenberg, Prism Solar’s Chief Technology Officer. “It will be very interesting to see the additional boost in performance that results from coupling holograms with PPG’s anti-reflective glass product.”
