Following contact with various parties of the Whitbread Group we were asked to investigate further what acoustic alternatives we could find.Setting out on a journey which has given us a wealth of knowledge through acoustic testing with Salford University - a UKAS accredited facility and one of the best of its kind - we have formed two products which combine fantastic thermal properties and also a high standard of glazing acoustics achieving that of your average brick wall.Premierfon has been tested with a dB of 47 and PremierfonLite 39dB.
This is excellent news for the hotel industry removing the need for a) secondary glazing systems and b) no future worries of nearby planning/buildings erected around your newly built hotel. Not only does Premierfon (a registered product of Abbey Glass Cardiff Ltd) achieve a fantastic acoustic rating but it does so at extremely low frequencies and performs to its best at 1000Hz and upwards. This is great news for Architects and Sound Engineers and it is because of this service that Abbey Glass has seen a turnover this year of 2.5m and we continue to expand with sales next year expected of 4m.
