Prelco Inc. Acquires Dfi License To Distribute Diamon-Fusion® Nanocoating In Canada

Diamon-Fusion International, Inc. (DFI), global developer and exclusive licensor of the Diamon-Fusion® patented nanotechnology, signed a license agreement with PRELCO INC., a Canadian leading manufacturer of specialty glass for the commercial, transportation and industrial markets.

The agreement provides both companies ample co-marketing capabilities along with a distribution network in Canada and North Eastern United States.

Prelco Inc., a 50-year company with a commitment to research and technological development based in Rivere-du-Loup, Quebec, Canada, is a leading manufacturer of specialty glass for architectural design, industrial, and transportation applications. Prelco, an ISO-certified company that employs 450 people with nearly 300,000 SQFT Plant space, manufactures specialty glass products such as tempered, heat soaked, laminated, bent, ceramic frit, silkscreened glass and IG units. PRELCO consists of the following companies:

DFI’s nanocoating supplies a full range of enhanced hydrophobic properties to the treated glass surface along with an anti-microbial property by inhibiting or decreasing the growth of mold and bacteria on the treated surface, creating a healthier environment to live in.

DFI nanotechnology multi-functional characteristics include: water and oil repellency (hydrophobic and oleophobic,), impact and scratch resistance, protection against graffiti, dirt and stains, finger print protection, UV stability, additional electrical insulation, protection against calcium and sodium deposits and increased brilliance and lubricity. DFI’s nanocoating, a patented process, works at nanoscale levels to change the molecular composition of any silica-based surface. Diamon-Fusion® provides a cross-linked, branched, and ‘capped’ coating along with a strong and durable covalent bond.
