PPG Named Paint Supplier of the Year by Decoma for Third Consecutive Time

PPG, the world's leading manufacturer of transportation coatings, supplies Spectracron liquid topcoats and primers to 11 Decoma locations throughout North America. PPG was one of six suppliers that earned Decoma's Supplier of the Year award for 2002. J. Rich Alexander, PPG's vice president of industrial coatings, received the award at Decoma's recent supplier conference in Toronto.

The award serves as testimony to PPG's commitment to excellence in manufacturing and customer service, Alexander said.

"Our team is devoted not only to providing quality coatings products and services, but also to working closely with customers to understand their needs and anticipate their future requirements," he said.

"We take great pride in receiving this award from Decoma. Earning -- and maintaining -- a high level of customer satisfaction is a key to PPG's competitive advantage and leadership position in the coatings market."

Chris Rolko, Decoma's director of purchasing and continuous improvement, praised PPG for its "consistency, quality and performance."

Decoma, a subsidiary of Magna International, makes a wide range of exterior parts for cars and trucks including fascias, bumpers, mirrors and trim.
