Sample PPG glasses include two extra-heavy panels of CLARVISTA® shower glass on conventional clear and STARPHIRE ULTRA-CLEAR™ glasses. Formulated with a protective coating fused to the glass surface, Clarvista glass prevents dullness and haze caused by exposure to heat, humidity, soap and cleaning chemicals. With proper care, Clarvista glass can make bath and shower enclosures look newer longer than can other glass products.

Other PPG glass samples include tint options from dark-gray GRAYLITE® II glass, which is commonly used for privacy glass applications, to the lightly and deeply saturated blue, green, bronze and gray tones captured in ATLANTICA®, AZURIA®, PACIFICA®, SOLARBLUE®, SOLARBRONZE® and SOLARGRAY® glasses.

The kit also features two metallic-coated and three vividly colored glass samples from ICD High Performance Coatings. Phantom Gray, Champagne, O’Hara (red), Utah Sky (blue) and Primary White colors are back-painted on Starphire Ultra-Clear glass to maximize color fidelity. Four acid-etched translucent and mirror-effect glasses from the Walker Textures line include Satin on Solarblue glass and Clear Pattern 111, Glass Valour and Mirror Opaque on STARPHIRE® glass.

Pat Kelly, Starphire glass manager, PPG Flat Glass, said the new interior glass sample kit, which replaces the existing Starphire glass sample kit, was created to emphasize the scope of decorative options available on PPG glass. “Starphire glass continues to grow in popularity as designers address the demand for greater penetration of natural light into work spaces and building cores,” he explained. “Our goal with this expanded kit is to emphasize the unique blue-edge appearance, ultra-transparency and color fidelity of Starphire glass while demonstrating how inherently unique, versatile and functional glass is as a decorative palette for interior designers.”
