The curtain has come down on what was a humdinger of a FIT show for 2014. This was the show’s second successive year following a successful maiden event in 2013.

The show now reverts to the original planned format of every two years and will next return in 2016; the extra 2014 show having been organised specifically to tap into interest following the success of the first. With the show catering mainly to window and conservatory companies, an audience expected to be outside of Smart-Builder’s traditional frameless customer base, they decided to exhibit but with the aim of keeping an open mind.As it happened, any fears the Smart-Builder staff might have harboured were unfounded. They were pleased to rekindle the interest of a number of long term potential customers, introducing them to a raft of new software solutions. Pleasingly, a new section of the glass industry had their eyes opened to the possibilities afforded by Smart-Builder’s glass sales and design software. In particular the framed shopfront and balustrade designers raised a few eyebrows.

A successful exibit for Smart-Builder at FIT Show 2014

The upshot is that the FIT Show will more than pay for itself and the level of interest has inspired Smart-Builder to sign up for the 2016 show. The early signing enables Smart-Builder to retain their favoured location. Indeed, with the level of interest shown by all exhibitors, it may actually be the only way to secure a spot at all.
