Piramal Glass wins "Gold Certificate of Merit” for best practices

This award is given out by Economic Times and has been institutionalized by Frost & Sullivan.Piramal Glass Limited (PGL), Kosamba facility in Gujarat has won the Gold Certificate of Merit at the Indian Manufacturing Excellence Award (IMEA) 2011 held on Dec 2 in Mumbai.

This award is given out by Economic Times and has been institutionalized by Frost & Sullivan. Started in 2004, these awards have over the years recognized Indian manufacturing companies that have demonstrated brilliance in manufacturing processes, set in industry benchmarks and those that have been assessed as globally

competitive.



Vijay Shah, Managing Director, Piramal Glass Limited said, “Over 100 companies participated in this evaluation process, and we are among the few who have been awarded this honour. The Kosamba facility had been subject to an extensive audit by external assessors from Frost & Sullivan. Over three days assessors evaluated and identified best practices at the Kosamba facility in Gujarat. This award is a testament to our continued commitment to excellence and product & process innovations.”



The Frost & Sullivan assessors recognized Piramal Glass’ valuable best practices and invited them to present their ‘Product & Process Innovations’ at the IMEA summit and showcase how PGL is achieving its market success through business excellence.
