Available to customers as well as internal sales teams, there is a full programme of courses, ranging in levels from introductory and intermediate through to advanced.
First up is the ever-popular PK1 course, which takes place on 12 - 13th June. This training course has been designed for non-technical personnel or as introductory course for those new to a technical position. Subjects covered include thermal insulation, solar control, safety and security, fire protection, noise control and decoration and privacy. As part of this course, there is also an opportunity to see the new off-line coater, the result of a £35million investment by the NSG Group and home to energy saving glass such as Pilkington K Glass™ S.
Phil Brown, Technical Advisory Service Manager for the UK & Ireland, explains: "Our Product Knowledge training courses have always been popular, particularly the PK1 course. This course provides an excellent introduction to glass, how it is manufactured and the benefits it can provide. If you are new to the industry or seeking a basic grounding in our products, this is the course for you.
"Despite the interest shown to date, places are still available on most of the courses. With the range of courses available, there should be at least one to suit your requirements."
A new aspect to this year's programme is a series of half- and one-day bite-sized courses that have been devised for increased flexibility and focus.
