The Pilkington Group HQ has been successful in achieving reaccreditation of its Investor in People status.
Investors in People is the UK national Standard which sets a level of good practice for training and development of people to achieve business goals.Assessor, Tony Roberts, commented on the very positive evidence he found in Pilkington's policies and procedures and from interviewing employees in relation to the four main principles of IIP - Commitment, Planning, Action and Evaluation.However, he also highlighted those areas where further development would improve the company's performance against the standard and the development programmes to address these areas will commence immediately, working through the function heads.
