Rising early to scrape your car windscreen on a freezing winter morning isn't much fun, which is why the rebirth of the Hotscreen will warm the hearts of thousands of motorists.

Throw away the de-icer can, say goodbye to frosted windscreens, frozen fingers and frayed wiper blades, and enjoy an extra five minutes in bed. In less than two minutes the Hotscreen defrosts the windscreen from minus five degrees Celsius.
At the touch of a button tungsten wires finer than a human hair embedded between two layers of glass set to work to defrost or demist the screen, meaning the Hotscreen is not only the ideal weapon against ice but also condensation.
Already available on Ford, Jaguar and Range Rover models, the Hotscreen has now been adopted by Renault for its new Laguna, which for the first time also incorporates solar control coating for added driver comfort.
Manufacturer Pilkington, the world's leading automotive glass supplier, expects the Hotscreen trend to grow, following in the footsteps of heated rear windscreens, which rapidly became the norm in the 60's and 70's.
