Pilkington: Group Supply Management changes

As part of the Group's continuing drive to increase efficiencies and to concentrate all operating activities in the business lines, the Group Supply Organisation has been devolved into the two business lines of Building Products and Automotive.

David Whatham, group director of supply management, will continue to provide functional leadership to the Supply Management organisation worldwide but takes on the additional role of vice-president, purchasing, for the Automotive business line.In his combined role, he will report to Pat Zito. The Automotive purchasing managers will report directly to David.

The seven global supply managers, who currently report directly to David Whatham, will also transfer to the business lines.

In his role as group director of supply management, David will continue to have a functional reporting relationship with the global supply managers in the Building Products business line as well as with the regional supply managers in that business line, covering Europe, North America, South America and Australia.
