Recycling and waste management initiatives at Pilkington's Dandenong site in Australia continue to capture awards for environmental performance.
The latest comes from the Dandenong Chamber of Commerce and the City of Dandenong for the premier regional business awards.
This time the award was earned by the innovative programme to re-use sub-standard cullet (crushed glass) batches which would otherwise have gone to expensive and environmentally unfriendly landfill.
Pilkington was also nominated for other innovations including Pilkington ComfortPlus, Pilkington Activ self-cleaning glass and the new bushfire-resistant Pilkington Frontline.
