The use of glass in new homes makes a dramatic difference to space and light, reports Ben West In their relentless quest to create innovative new buildings, developers and architects are now using glass to an unprecedented degree, dramatically enhancing the space and natural light within homes.
Ingenious features such as dazzling skylights, glass-blocked interior walls, integrated conservatories, dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows, interior glazed walkways, ceilings, floors and glass balconies are being incorporated to give new building schemes that "wow" factor.
"We are always keen to place as much glazing in a property as possible, allowing extra light and space to be created," says Piers Banfield, of Banner Homes. "Properties with more glazing command a lot of interest in today's market.
