Onyx Solar’s semi-transparent glass lets you enjoy gorgeous views from the inside of a building – all while generating energy. Onyx Solar has implemented its low-e amorphous silicon photovoltaic glass in the façade of a governmental building in Malta.
The project entailed the manufacturing of 124 glass modules, fully customized with regards to size and shape.
The glass has a semi-transparency degree of 20% (L-vision) and allows the passage of natural daylight, but it filters harmful solar radiation and prevents the greenhouse effect from emerging in interiors – improving its occupants’ comfort.
