When you should be getting your beauty sleep, the “Worry Beast” is making you fret, toss and turn at night because you worry about having the time or the in-house talent to train the new guy. Who is going to train the new guy? Who’s got the time? Who knows how to do the job right in the first place?
Last week at GlassBuild, NGA announced the relaunch of the new MyGlassClass.com, an interactive and easy-to-use online training resource featuring updated course content designed to help you train your workforce and “tame the worry beast.”
NGA has already received requests from companies asking to sign up anywhere from 5 to 700 employees.
Following the launch of the site in NGA’s booth yesterday, employees from family-owned glass company Sampson Glass decided to test their glazing knowledge skills in one of the new MyGlassClass.com courses. And they passed!
“We like the interactive quizzes,” said Scott Matteson. “This will help a lot with our on-the-job training.”
Scott's parents, Brian and Melissa, added that providing their installers, and also their customers, with consistent and correct glass terminology would also be very helpful.
“People are always making up their own words.” As they do every year, the family traveled to GlassBuild to see and learn what's new to help them grow their businesses.
Course registration for the new MyGlassClass.com will be available on Oct. 31.
