SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS launches a toughenable version of its SGG COOL-LITE® SKN 165, the latest addition to the widely-specified high performance SGG COOL-LITE® SKN solar control glass range.

SGG COOL-LITE® SKN 165 allows plenty natural light to enter buildings thanks to its neutral aesthetics and high light transmission, combined with an excellent solar factor of 0.32 and extremely low optimum U-value of 1.1 W/m2.K.

SGG COOL-LITE® SKN 165 creates more comfortable interiors and dramatically improves energy efficiency by reducing needless heat loss and overheating all year round and is suitable for any application where toughened or heat-strengthened glass is required.

Susan Lambeth, Product Manager at Saint-Gobain Glass explains, “SGG COOL-LITE SKN 165, as well as our existing SGG COOL-LITE SKN 174, offer processors, architects and end clients versatile solutions for high specification projects that require a quick turnaround. These new coatings allow wider-spread availability of toughened variations, reducing lead times and providing an excellent energy saving solution for modern-day construction”.
