Lattimer with over 20 years experience in the design and manufacture of variable equipment will be launching not one but three new products at Glasstec Dusseldorf in October.

The latest addition to their take out range is designed for the Emhart 400 series servo electric unit as specified in the latest NIS machines. Featuring innovations including dual outboard bearing Tong Head shaft support, duplex input bearings, precision lightweight 2 piece aluminium alloy sealed casing and simple yet precise in situ belt adjustment.

A new inclined twin piston sweepout made from automotive grade aluminium alloy reducing the overall weight by approximately 35%. The linear adjustment mechanism, has been repositioned from a side location to the centre of clamping and rotation.

Designed with a single standard tong holder cylinder that can be installed on a range of mould centre specific heads to give the desired machine setup, Lattimer’s new modular tong head products offer flexibility, precision, long life and reduced cost through fewer parts on the shelf.

Manufactured from aerospace grade aluminium alloy billet, modular tong heads are both lightweight and very strong. A unique mechanical dual fixing qualifies the tong holder positioning and air seal. The closed design supports both the industry standard cast iron tong holders and the latest light weight anti wink design.

Also available in an X-Y precision-adjustable configuration to further reduce container rejection through ware handling, Lattimer modular tong heads offer a new and innovative solution to improve and simplify the bottle manufacturing process.
