PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) has introduced a kit for architects with representative samples of its blue-tinted, low-emissivity (low-e) glasses, including new Pacifica and Solarblue glasses, as well as Azuria, Vistacool Azuria and Optiblue glasses.

The kit features eight one-inch insulating glass units.Dark-blue Pacifica glass, part of the Oceans of Color collection of nautically inspired tints, is shown in three assemblies: Solarban 70XL Pacifica glass, Pacifica plus Solarban z50 Optiblue glass and Vistacool Pacifica plus Solarban 60 glass.

Sky-blue Solarblue glass, from the Earth and Sky collection of nature-inspired performance tints, is featured in two insulating glass units: Solarban 70XL Solarblue glass and Solarblue plus Solarban z50 Optiblue glass.

Azuria glass, the original aqua-blue Oceans of Color tint, is paired with Solarban z50 Optiblue glass in one insulating glass unit. There also is a sample of Vistacool Azuria plus Solarban 60 glass. The remaining insulating glass unit is Solarban 80 Optiblue glass married to an Optiblue interior lite.

With the introduction of Pacifica glass, Solarblue glass and Solarban 80 Optiblue glass in the past year, PPG now offers the industry’s broadest palette of blue-tinted glasses. With light–to-solar gain (LSG) ratios as high 2.09, blue-tinted glasses by PPG also offer a virtually unequalled array of environmental performance options.

Pacifica, Solarblue and Azuria glasses with Solarban solar control, low-e coatings are available exclusively through the PPG Certified Fabricator Program (PPG/CFP).
