The 41-year old, who was awarded his doctorate in mechanical engineering, will take up his post on 1 October of this year and with the exception of waterjet cutting, will be responsible worldwide for all development activities within the company.In this function, Dr. Hohnhaus will be a member of the Bystronic Group Management. This step adds even greater emphasis to the development activities at the Swiss manufacturer of quality machines and systems for cutting and bending.
Dr. Jürgen Hohnhaus is a German citizen and possesses extensive experience and a comprehensive know-how in the field of forming technology. Following conferral of his doctorate in the field of sheet metal forming, he was for several years involved in the design of presses and subsequently headed the Forming Technology Division with a leading German press manufacturer.
