Firmly rooted at the forefront of new technology, Network VEKA will begin to use QR codes to engage with homeowners on its advertisements and other marketing materials.

The organisation first showcased QR codes at its AGM, held in Stratford in June this year. Delegates were given a preview of the Network VEKA Customer Satisfaction DVD, fronted by Steve Davis, which was supported by a printed magazine featuring QR codes linking to web clips of satisfied customer interviews and the organisation's website.

Following a great response, QR codes will now be appearing on the company's marketing materials, giving homeowners a direct link to the Network VEKA website and specific product information.

QR codes, an abbreviation of Quick Response code, allow users to scan 2D codes with a smartphone to gain instant access to websites, addresses, text and other data and, according to Network VEKA MD John Ogilvie, QR codes are expected to achieve widespread use this year.

“People want immediate access to what's relevant, and QR codes can make that happen. We want to direct homeowners and other customers to the information that they require instantly, and on the move. We are only just scratching the surface of how QR codes can be used.”

Also creating countless opportunities for its members, QR codes will form just one part of the powerful marketing and support package that Network VEKA offers.
