The exhibition will feature a fresh, innovative and powerful display of contemporary Liuli art from art school academics.
The Institution School Glass Art has its roots in the Glass Studio Movement of the 70s, a significant time for the development of contemporary Liuli art. LIULI CHINA Museum in Shanghai serves as a platform for communication between east and west. It houses the work of significant artists crucial to the development of Western glass art such as Steven Weinberg and Dante Marioni.
Not only does this collaboration between LIULI CHINA and Shanghai University provide a platform for discussion, it validates Liuli as a force in contemporary art for the new generation. This is a new voice that cannot be ignored.
