S. glass exhibition. U.S. trade people liked the technology they saw: the stands that occupied the 900 sq.m.Made in Italy exhibition space attracted interested visitors who were keen about the new machinery, some of them buying directly at the exhibition. This strong interest in Italian products can be seen in ITA (Italian Trade Agency) figures which provide a picture of a growing U.S. market.

The figures show that U.S. imports of glass processing machinery in 2014 increased by 48% versus 2013. Italy is the top supplier at $27 million, with a 33% share of total imports by the industry.
The United States has been a leading market for the Italian glass industry in 2015 also: during the first 7 months of the year, imports from Italy posted a 40% increase over the same period in the previous year despite a partial fall in the market share (from 29% in 2014 to 12% in 2015).
