Huntsman Polyurethanes’ first visit to Middle East glass exhibition, Glass World 2008, has been a clear success - with the company experiencing a steady stream of visitors throughout the four day event who wanted to discuss its high performance KRYSTALFLEX® portfolio of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) glass laminates.

Experts from Huntsman Polyurethanes were on hand during the exhibition to highlight the diverse number of applications in which KRYSTALFLEX® can be used, including aerospace, construction and automotive.

Demand for hybrid-glass / polycarbonate lamination is growing at a rapid pace and KRYSTALFLEX® is ideal for applications where intrinsic strength, combined with clarity of transparency, is critical. Core applications include glazing for security vehicles, prisons, hospitals, embassies, computer centres, sensitive research facilities and aeroplanes.

The company’s presence at Glass World followed a dynamic shift in sales tactics for KRYSTALFELX®, which significantly improved the customer experience and added a new level of responsiveness to the development process and time-to-market; underlining Huntsman Polyurethanes commitment to the glass laminates sector in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Jos Couwels, sales manager for Huntsman Polyurethanes, said; “Glass World 2008 provided us with the ideal platform to introduce our KRYSTALFLEX portfolio of TPU glass laminates into the Middle East market place. The feedback we received during the exhibition demonstrated that there is a real requirement for the exceptional performance and quality that our range of products can provide. I look forward to replicating the success that we have achieved across Europe in the Middle East.”
