Printed on a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers, SentryGlas® Expressions™ enables photo imagery, textures, patterns, company logos and other images to be incorporated into a wide range of architectural laminated glass applications such as entry doors, glass interiors, overhead glazing, balustrades, advertising and signage.
This agreement allows JEB to produce high-definition, decorative laminated safety glass to meet the growing demand for custom designed imagery and aesthetics in laminated glass. Both the printing and the lamination of the PVB decorative interlayers will be done in JEB’s facility, providing a faster, more efficient response to customer needs. With the use of proprietary inks and laminating, this new technology is resilient, safe and visually dramatic. SentryGlas®Expressions™ meets all ANSI Z97 specifications for safety glass and will be manufactured exclusively with PPG Starphire® low iron glass for the highest clarity. SentryGlas® Expressions™ is a revolutionary new way for designers and artists to harness digital technologies to produce a wide range of decorative glass results. The technology uses a proprietary process developed by DuPont that performs printing directly onto the plastic interlayer for laminated safety glass. Whether the laminated glass is used for self-standing internal walls, partitions and doors, stairway balustrades, tabletops, elevators, windows or entire external building facades, it adds a flare to any space.
